How to Prepare for your Waxing Appointment or Facial Peel
How often will I need to wax?
Everyone is different, but most clients can schedule appointments every 4 weeks. During warmer months hair tends to grow faster and slows down in the cooler months.

Does a wax hurt?
Waxing large and sensitive areas can be uncomfortable, but it is worth it by not having to shave everyday and it is easier than tweezing. With each wax the hair growth is reduced and it becomes more comfortable. You want to make sure you don't schedule your appointment the week before your menstrual cycle starts. The wax will be more uncomfortable at that time of the month. Don't drink caffeine before the appointment. You may take an Advil to decrease inflammation and minor discomfort. I've even heard eating a banana 30 minutes before your appointment may also help with discomfort. Beauty stores sell numbing cream or sprays for waxing and I find they work great and start to work within minutes of application.

How do I prepare for my Brazilian Bikini Wax?
If this is your 1st Brazilian, don't worry. Most of my most loyal clients are Brazilian waxing clients. I use small strips in the most sensitive areas. I have had Brazilian Wax training and I'm quite comfortable doing this sort of wax.
The hair doesn't have to be long, only 1/4 of an inch. So trim before your appointment, it will be easier for you and your esthetician. This is not a time for you to be modest. You will be asked to disrobe from the waist down. I prefer using disposable panties. I will step out of the room while you change and you will be draped with a towel as we go. You will love the results. Tidying up down there before your appointment is appreciated.
After your wax make sure not to take a hot shower for the next few hours or engage in any activity that would irritated your sensitive skin within 24 hours.
